Fajr Competitor ‘The Loser Man’ in spotlight

iFilm English website brings to the spotlight ‘The Loser Man’, a Fajr Film Festival contestant, offering a surprise to Javad Ezzati fans.

The feature film that premiered on the first day of the 40th run of Iranian film event on Monday January 31st is directed by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, whose works are no strange to iFilmers.

‘Midday Adventures’ and ‘Standing in the Dust’ are two of the works by the same cineaste already brought to iFilm spectators.

In his new work, however, he is reported by the media to have experienced his hand in a new genre we are not accustomed to see his films in.

‘The Loser Man’ is the story of a man named Ahmad Khosravi, who is on a mission to solve a mystery case, while his own troubled life is not less of a mystery itself.

Deciphering the secrets of the case will impact Ahmad’s life as they will mix up with his doubts and worries.

A newly released poster for the film shows iFilm’s popular star and comedian, Javad Ezzati, impersonating a man in his late 50s.

The makeup done on him was a laborious project taking 5 to 6 hours every day on the set of the movie.

Star in ‘Huge Problems’ has so far proven he is the chameleon of Iranian cinema by masterfully performing characters of various walks of life, through various genres and people of different age groups.

 Besides Ezzati, Rana Azadivar, Babak Karimi, Anahita Dargahi, Mehdi Zaminpardaz, Majid Nowrouzi, Amir-Hossein Hashemi, Amir Dezhakam, Sajjad Babaei, Manouchehr Alipour, Shabnam Qorbani, Venous Kaneli, Melika Pazouki are among the cast members of the flick.
